There are no journal entires for 30 December - 1 January. After landing I returned to the hostel and offloaded all my things. I am not sure if the car was ready. I had it by December 31. After uploading photos and offloadng my stuff I met everyone at a bar in town and we reminisced about our Antarctic adventure.

For New Years Eve I met up with the Israelis I had met and they cooked up a real feast. It was at their hostel where I saw a map of Torres del Paine and decided I would go there next.
It's at this point that all my pictures get messed up. I was using a cell phone to take photos. I dropped my cell phone and the battery popped out. This caused the date and time stamp to disappear from all my photos. So between this time and a few weeks later, with no satellite contact, my pictures are hard to put in definite chronological order.
